An Evening At The Apollo

Entertaining, exciting and exhilarating are a few of the words frequently used when describing, ‘Aubrey Mann’s An Evening At The Apollo’.
In 1995, singer/producer Aubrey Mann mounted this fabulous show after he was approached by the government of Ontario to create and produce a mega motown style show with 7 singers, 4 males and 3 females which ran for 2 very successful years under the name of ‘Soul to Soul’ at ‘The Island Club” at Ontario Place, one of Canada’s largest theme parks.
When the show ended it’s run for the government, Aubrey was approached by prominent theatre booking agent ‘Mark Ireland’ who is currently booking this show in various theatres across canada and he suggested the show be called ‘An Evening At The Apollo’, hence the name.
This high energy revue salutes the Motown era and notable entertainers whom have performed at the famed and legendary, ‘Apollo Theatre’in Harlem,New York in a captivating manner. These 6 very talented singers; Eddie Staxx, Joanne Johnson, Wade O Brown, Arlene Duncan, Lorraine Scott and Aubrey Mann are backed by their superb and very strong 6 piece orchestra. This powerful extravaganza takes a nostalgic trip back at an era gone but not forgotten with a very fresh and inviting approach.
